The Plott Hound is a medium to large-sized hunting breed of dog. This breed was originated in North Carolina, United States in the 18th century. The Plott Hound is a hardy, agile, slightly muscular breed with a strong head and a strong jaw. Their coat is thick and black, brindle, lion-colored, bronze, and white with brown patches. This breed is very loyal to their family and is an excellent guard dog. The Plott Hound is an intelligent, active, and curious breed with a good sense of smell that makes them excellent for hunting.
