The Irish Water Spaniel is a large-sized dog with a silky coat that is characterized by its chestnut color with black spots. They are very intelligent and have great endurance. They are very loyal to their owners, very sociable and very affectionate. They are trained to dive and are generally used as search and rescue dogs.
