The Drentse Patrijshond are extremely intelligent and obedient working dogs. These dogs have an excellent sense of smell and great skill in driving and handling birds. They are loyal, friendly to strangers and very protective of their loved ones. They are very tolerant with children, although they can sometimes be a bit stubborn. These dogs have great endurance and an impressive resistance to cold.
