The Schweizerischer Niederlaufhund is an extremely intelligent and loyal dog breed. It is specially prepared to work in groups with other dogs. They can work as sheepdogs, hunting dogs, obedience trial dogs and as guardians. Its size is medium, with a slightly rounded head and a curled tail. Its coat is straight and black with white patches.
